This Cookie Policy explains how we use cookies and similar technologies on https://www.infinite-aura.space (the "Site"). It should be read together with our Privacy Notice, which explains how we handle personal data more generally.
1. WHAT COOKIES ARE
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to recognise your device, keep you signed in, and remember choices you have made.
Cookies set by us are called first-party cookies. Cookies set by another organisation are called third-party cookies.
2. WHAT WE USE, AND WHAT WE DON'T
We keep our use of cookies to a minimum: we only use strictly necessary cookies. They keep you signed in, secure the sign-in process, and remember that you confirmed you are an adult. Without them the Site cannot work, so they are set without asking your consent — this is permitted under Article 129 of the Belgian Electronic Communications Act, implementing Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive.
Visitor statistics without cookies. We count visits ourselves, without cookies and without storing anything on your device. How this works is explained in section 2 of our Privacy Notice.
We do not use advertising, marketing or analytics cookies. We do not run advertising on the Site, we do not build advertising profiles, and we do not use any external analytics service.
Given the nature of our content, we consider this restraint appropriate: the less we track, the less there is to expose.
3. WHICH COOKIES ARE SET
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| ia_session | Keeps you signed in (contains a random key, never your email address) | 30 days, renewed while you use the Site; removed when you sign out |
| ia_age | Remembers that you confirmed you are 18 or over | 12 months |
| ia_oauth | Secures signing in with Google | 10 minutes |
| ia_signup | Remembers your details between the steps of creating an account | 15 minutes |
| ia_claim | Remembers a coupon code while you sign in to redeem it | 30 minutes |
Security check. On the sign-in, sign-up and contact forms, a security check by our hosting provider protects us against automated abuse. It may store a short-lived technical value needed for that check.
Payment. When you pay, the payment window of our payment service provider opens. That provider may set its own cookies, under its own cookie policy.
4. HOW TO CONTROL COOKIES
Because we only use strictly necessary cookies, there is no cookie banner to accept or refuse. Every browser lets you block or delete cookies; how to do it differs per browser, so check its help pages. Blocking our cookies will prevent you from signing in.
5. OTHER TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES
We do not use local storage or tracking pixels on the Site.
Emails. Our newsletter contains a small image that is loaded from our email provider when you open the email, and links in it pass through our email provider, so that we can count opens and clicks. You can prevent this by not loading images in your email program, and you can unsubscribe from the newsletter with one click in every newsletter or in your account. Other emails, such as sign-in links and purchase confirmations, do not contain such an image.
6. CHANGES
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the cookies we use or in the law. The date above shows the current version.
7. QUESTIONS
If you have any question about our use of cookies, email contact@infinite-aura.space.
